American Recreational Products

American Recreational Products (ARP) is a division of National Composites. ARP is focused on the development and production of National Composite’s proprietary and recreational watercraft, Paddle Wheeler, and Boka Marine.

For over 40 years Paddle Wheeler’s handcrafted pedal boats have been known as the highest quality pedal boats available. The fun designs and color options make Paddle Wheelers ideal for a rental fleet as well as personal recreation. Regardless of the use, the durable fiberglass frame can withstand it all. Constructed of rigid fiberglass with urethane foam flotation, Paddle Wheelers are built to last.

Boka Marine, ARP’s newest product line, is a compact pontoon e-boat. Boka E-boats utilize the same fiberglass frame technology as its cousin, Paddle Wheeler.  However, instead of pedal power, Boka E-boats are powered by a Torqeedo Ultralight motor.  The Ultralight 1103 motor is a rechargeable battery-powered, 3HP motor.  Each fully charged battery can provide up to four hours of battery life and reach speeds of 7mph.  Boka E-boats can also be customized with a solar-powered electronics package that includes blue tooth speakers, interior lights, navigation lights, and LED accent lights.  Designed to fit just about any boating budget from angling to amusement, Boka E-boats deliver.

Currently, Paddle Wheeler boats are built In Owosso, Michigan at Great Lakes Composites, and Boka E-boats are built at Able Manufacturing our Joplin, Missouri facility.  In the near future though, both ARP product lines will be constructed in Fenton, Michigan.  A new facility which is estimated to employ as many as 59 jobs is slated to break ground in January of 2023.
